She works very closely with her clients, explains her techniques wonderfully, and truly connects with you and your dog! I highly recommend Franzi!”

“Franzi has been an invaluable asset in training our German Shepard, Koda. We knew when bringing such a large and powerful animal into our home with small children we needed to have him well socialized and under control. Franzi worked with Koda and taught our family all of the skills to continue his training in our home. Wherever we bring Koda people are always impressed with his calm demeanor and impulse control. We owe all of that to Franzi and her effective, whole animal focused methods. I cannot recommend her enough! If we ever end up with another dog we will definitely use her again.”

“We used Franzi for basic puppy training, including bolting and car ride anxiety, and couldn’t be more impressed. Helped us learn the things not to do with a puppy, even if popular, and explained why! She included our entire family in training, which was wonderful. We have the best pup and have Franzi to thank for his great behavior.”

“It’s crazy how in a few sessions we’re seeing a big difference in our 1 year old Belgian Malinois, Nala.

The training was personalized to us. A few  things helped make our life easier. For example, dreadful leash pulling turned into a pleasurable walk again, paying attention to me instead of lunging at cars or kids riding bikes (impulse control), getting her collar on without biting me, recall, off leash training.

She stays on her dog bed when we are eating without being told to.

She checks in with me and Alex even when I’m not asking her to and of course I verbally reward her when that happens. And I 10000% feel safer and more stable walking Nala. She sits on the rug until being invited out and “getting dressed” was the best thing ever because it was always a fight with her.

Franzi really knows what she’s doing. I tried to do training at home but I didn’t know how to keep going and she had the most unique training techniques I would have never thought of!

They are now my favorite commands they not only work on her behavior issues but they’re fun for Nala and I. Franzi  is the sweetest, kindest, most professional dog trainer out there. 10/10 recommend her. You’re in good hands and if you ever have issues arise she’s just a text away to help guide you back into the right direction.”

Franzi has been training us and our year and a half old Aussie doodle Lani since we adopted her at 4 months.  Her positive reinforcement methodology has helped Lani grow up into a confident, trusted, well-adjusted member of our family.  The biggest thing that separates Franzi from other trainers is her ability to train us! She helps us understand our dog and our her personality so we can train Lani in a kind and loving manner.  Lani has a lot of fun too!  We highly recommend Franzi both as a trainer and a person, we always look forward to our sessions that leave us with a new understanding of Lani each time.

“We chose Franzi to help train our 3-year old pup. He is a shar pei whose breed is to protect, and he was exhibiting signs of fear- based aggression. By keeping him inside our yard with an invisible fence, other dog owners were walking by and letting their dogs off leash to “play” in Simon’s territory. This was causing him distress because although he couldn’t leave the yard, other dogs could freely come and go. We were unknowingly exacerbating his protective instincts which only increased his aggression towards other dogs and people. Franzi helped us diagnose the underlying cause of Simon’s behavior and immediately began working with us. She trained him on a mat in our home as a “safe space” and helped us show Simon when we were all safe and therefore he could relax. She also worked with me to improve our walks together, as he was pulling and therefore walking ME. Simon is now 7 years old and has traveled the world with us on planes as an emotional support animal. He is gentle and yet protective when he needs to be. Franzi helped us forge a beautiful relationship with our dog by helping us understand each other. I highly recommend this “dog whisperer!”

“Franzi was absolutely wonderful to work with! She is patient, fun, and so knowledgeable.
Our children were 5/8/10 when we got our first puppy and Franzi made it easy for all of us to train him. We are so thankful we had such a great trainer to bring the best out in our dog!”

“I am the owner of a 10 month old German Shephard that is VERY active and intelligent. Ziggy was in great need of being socialized with other dogs as well as strangers. He is definitely eager to please but somewhat reactive and had a tendency to easily scare other dogs as well as people.

Franzi was referred to me by a friend who owns 2 German Shepards. Franzi has been training Ziggy as well as me for 2 months now and the progress and development has been fantastic. We worked with both inside behavior as well as outside and socializing behaviors. She handles Ziggy beautifully and he truly loves and respects her. He is definitely now socialized with people/strangers and is well on his way , about 80% of the way with other dogs.

More importantly Franzi has broken down and clearly explained to me the language of Ziggy and how a dog’s brain processes information. With that understanding I am able to read his signs and now act/respond accordingly. Ziggy and I continue to work together with Franzi and look forward to our training and improvement. It makes a huge difference to everyone in the family to have a dog that listens and is trained.”

Franzi is a true professional and dog whisperer. Her ability to make an immediate connection with a dog is amazing and impressive to watch. Franzi helped us train our golden retriever 1 year old puppy months before having a baby. If it weren't for Franzi, he wouldn't be so respectful and well mannered. He is the best big brother to our newborn baby boy and we will forever be grateful to Franzi for getting us here. If you're looking for the best, look no further. She really enjoys her work and it shows!

“Franzi is amazing! She has great experience and skill with animals, and her innate knowledge with the dogs is on point! We've been doing live online video training sessions and it has made a huge difference. Since training a dog has a lot to do with training the dog owner, online video sessions definitely work! She trains both of us! Whether the dog takes treats too quickly from your hand or perhaps shows some level of aggression, I'm confident that Franzi's deep connection to dogs and her confidence and skill will make a big difference in the relationship you have with your beloved, furry friend. Highly recommend her!.”

“Faced with seemingly insurmountable hurdles: family of 4 moving from a house with a big yard in ny to a townhouse with none in Fla, 9 month old giant white lab puppy, and recent neck surgery for mom (each pull of the leash excruciating!)
Enter Franzi! Quite literally our savior!
Franzi is a stunningly gifted communicator. She is able to keenly observe dogs and humans and the behaviors between them. Franzi employs brilliant tactics and provides easy-to-understand guidance; low stress and fun ways to work with your dog between sessions.
In our case, Franzi emphasized the importance of us working together as a family, which has provided us with a consistent and cohesive approach to our dog (and each other!) and our dog has benefited greatly. He is a happy, polite, and very well behaved part of our family (and no more leash pulling or pain for mom!).
We are forever indebted to our friend Franzi.”

Tricks of the Trade

“Having a one year old 100# overly exuberant and loving puppy can be challenging! Beautiful as she is, not everyone wants her jumping up and hugging them. I am used to much larger pups being Therapy Dogs in the hospital by the time they are one. This baby is a different animal! As they all can be different, all training methods need to be suited individually to your puppy. I was stuck!

So, I inquired and met Franzi, watched her on the beach with her dog, and thought, "This is just what I need!" So we started our training.

One trick of the trade was the vest she encouraged me to order for my gal. It was a great idea to let people know she was in training and "Please do not pet - I'm in training" badges were attached to the vest. We went to "visit" Home Depot several times - around Hallowe'en actually - when all the ghoulish witches were large as life in the aisles and making all kinds of noises. Great idea! After two visits or so and Franzi's corrections, she walked right by them as if they looked just like Mom. Best of all, she did not jump or try to dart away or run up to people in the store, even those that read the badges and still asked, "May I pet her?" I felt bad saying "No" but as Franzi's instructions to me and to her reminded me, you must be firm and always be consistent.

We continued going to different places and found that the lessons learned stuck really well. She always lets me go in the door first wherever we are - even if sometimes I forget, she just waits until I enter.
Franzi has a big bag of Tricks of the Trade and if anyone can find the right ones for your pups, it's her!”
